Typically British?
traditionalism
the british are very fond of their traditions. and are not spescially keen on making changes to them. The british judges are still wearing old-fashioned white wigs in court. They also drive on the left side of the road, and have their own metric system.
politeness
the british are very polite. If you walk around in britain, and bumps into a stranger, they apologize straight away, and you never experience a door in the face.
british humour
the brits are known for their well-developed humour. their humour tend to be verbal with the use of puns and irony. making jokes and teasing someone is a sign of approval. the brits have reached international success with their comedy. examples of this is "monty python" "mr. bean" and more.
class consiousness
the brits are still very class class consious. there are three social classes. upper class, middle class, and working class. the upper class consists of lords and ladys with title, the middle class is the ones with education, and the working class is the ones that works with trade and industry.
Dress code
bowler hats, scottish kilts, and policeman hats are well known all over the world. in british schools, the pupils wear school uniforms. each school has their own style. british fashion is also experimental. here you find shorter skirts, stronger colours and more extreme hairstyles than anywhere else.
the pub - a social center
there are over 57000 pubs in Britain, you can find them everywhere. the pub is a social meeting place for men and women where they drink beer and discuss everything. the word pub is short for public place.
a nation of animal lovers
the british love animals, there are animals in 12,5 million houses in britain. with cats, fish and dogs on top of the popular list. there are also many programs which involve animals.
the beatles
The Beatles were an English rock band that formed in Liverpool in 1960. With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they became widely regarded as the greatest and most influential act of the rock era. The Beatles built their reputation playing clubs in Liverpool and Hamburg over a three-year period from 1960. Lennon was shot and killed in December 1980, and Harrison died of lung cancer in November 2001. McCartney and Starr, the surviving members, remain musically active. they became the best-selling band in history, with estimated sales of over 600 million records worldwide.
comparison between the british and norwegian school system

I think the Norwegian school syst em is the best system, because we dont have to wear school uniforms and everyone can be themself. In Norway, we dont have to pay to get an education, and everyone gets the same options. Everyone is equal.
My fellow student, Brian, spoke about school uniforms, and his strongest argument was that everybody that use school unforms are denied the option to be themself, and everyone should get to be themself.
